CENTREX International Exhibition Statistics Union, the leading Central East European exhibition industry organization has held her annual CENTREX event – General Assembly (GA) and exchange of experiences – this year in Bucharest, Romania – on invitation of ROMEXPO. The main topic of the GA was a newer milestone in the international exhibition statistics rules. Initiated by CENTREX in 2012 and internationally accepted and introduced by UFI from 2015 internationality of exhibitions has been re-concepted; in our 21st century we do not speak any more about foreign but international exhibitor and space. There is also change and improvement in calculation of visitors at the fairs. As exhibiting at the fair is excellent opportunity also to visit it, CENTREX GA decided to calculate as exhibitors as visitors or introducing a new concept – Attendants experimentally. (It is also accepted at UFI and initiated at the Pan-European countries.) Regarding to operation of the Union members re-elected Ms. Ildikó Molnár as executive director for the next two years. Also in the spirit of internationalism the members agreed to continue the unique CENTREX VIP courtesy programme - mutually accepting each other's VIP cards for entry – started in 2013. In frame of the Tour d' Table on CEE exhibition industry the members in details exchanged their experiences, discussed current trends of the industry: issues, situation and challenges.
