CENTREX International Exhibition Statistics Union, the leading Central East European exhibition industry organization has held her annual CENTREX event – board meeting and exchange of experiences on fresh developments – in Brno, Czech Republic – on invitation of the Veletrhy Brno. 

The 15-years young organisation has now completed her annual exhibition statistics brochure – with audited trade fair data from 7 countries of Central Europe – and this statistics will go on-line soon. 

First round experiences with international student competition on "The Vision of Exhibitions until 2020" Central Europe 

CENTREX International Exhibition Statistics Union has recently launched an international Call for Papers among university/college students to tap their ideas, visions, assessment of trade fairs' future. The first experiences have shown significant signals to trade fair industry specialists and to university lecturers alike. 

CENTREX International Exhibition Statistics Union, the leading Central East European exhibition industry organization has recently held her annual CENTREX event – board meeting and exchange of experiences on fresh developments – in Gdansk, Poland – on invitation of the Gdansk International Fair. 

The occasion was supported by the recent inauguration of brand new exhibition and conference centre Amberexpo in Gdansk – where first user will just be UEFA – for operation center at football European championship. 

On September 26th, 2011 topping out ceremony took place in new exhibition pavilions in Gdańsk, Poland - Amber Expo - the future seat of CENTREX member Gdańsk International Fair, located very close the PGE Arena. The construction works are planned to finish in the spring of 2012. 

The architectural design assumes the construction of a new exhibition pavilion with the total area of 12,000 m2 with the option of dividing it into three separate halls, and a six-storey office building. The project also includes a conference center with rooms for 1,130 people (the largest for 600 people), a press center, restaurant and a bar. The new infrastructure will allow Gdańsk International Fair to expand the portfolio of services offered co far, guarantee proper conditions for the development of exhibiting projects and, at the same time, will increase the quality and competitiveness of the provided services. The next CENTREX Board of Directors meeting is scheduled to take place in Gdansk, in the spring of 2012. 

This was the repercussion of the greeting of CENTREX Chairman Mr. Jiri Kulis in Poznan – when congratulating on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of MTP on behalf of the Centrex family.

CENTREX member Výstaviště České Budějovice a.s. (the second major exhibition organiser in Czech Republic) has arrived to a major milestone in August 2011 – a new multifunctional hall (of 6,050 sq.m.) as a great leap forward has been inaugurated by Czech state President Václav Klaus on the opening day of the 38th Bread Basket agricultural fiesta. (Aug 25-30, 2011) 

The new hall "T" - the first-ever in South Bohemia of its size - has been built with latest technologies, pillar-free, multiple meeting rooms and has 2 exhibition hall sections. During off-exhibition season it also can function as direct entrance to the fair center facilities since the new hall is located with bordering public access. 

1,441,129 square meters, 41,424 exhibitors, 2,582,931 visitors – these are the CENTREX numbers for 2010. Audited statistics of 16 significant exhibition organisers in 7 Central Eastern countries. 

Additionally, like in 2009, CENTREX annual statistics CD yearbook also includes again the audited statistics of the members of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry (by which cca. 95% of Polish exhibition market is covered). Our yearbook - which has been published for 14 years now - has become very useful for customers of exhibitions; visitors and exhibitors first for realistic picture on the choice of exhibitions and also for the ‘branch’ professionals (trends, information, analysis etc). 

CENTREX - International Exhibition Statistics Union (Budapest), IEE-Exhibitions Research Institute (Thessaloniki) and CBBS - Management Consulting & Business Building Company Ltd (Zagreb) signed MUO (Memorandum of Understanding) on the future cooperation and partnership in order to help stronger and faster development of the trade fair industry in Central and SE Europe in order to use all business opportunities coming from enlarged EU.
